Yash Raj Films' Dil Bole Hadippa starring Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor opened in theaters on Friday to immense expectation. While the film's story is getting mixed reviews, the gorgeous Rani is getting raves for her performance as Veera and Veer.

In fact, the esteemed New York Times has a review of DBH and Rachel Saltz wrote, "Directed by Anurag Singh, "Dil" takes place in a colorful Punjab, with amber waves of grain and sassy local girls who chomp on sugar cane. It's a fantasy of the Indian heartland, a perfect setting for splashy musical numbers and an appropriate one for a film that itself is fantasy: part sports tale, part nationalist love story, part feminist comedy."

Saltz has nothing but praise for the star in her double role, "Ms. Mukherjee's enthusiasm is catchy, and when Veera delivers a feminist speech at the end, she's moving, too."

Adding, "Ms. Mukherjee seems to be having the time of her life as Veer/Veera."
