With New York on the brink of release this Friday, June 26th, the makers have come up with a unique way to help publicize the film. Yash Raj Films along with the popular online travel site, Yatra.com, have come together and developed a strategic plan for travelers to meet John Abraham and Katrina Kaif, stars of the upcoming flick.

In order to win, travelers must book a roundtrip ticket to India through Yatra.com from the dates of June 21st and July 9th to qualify and be eligible to enter the competition. If your ticket is chosen during a raffle of some sort, you earn the chance to meet both actors of the film. “It is a strategic tie-up as the name of the film and the business of Yatra.com has a great connect. We are sure this association would be a great success,” claims Rafiq Gangjee, Vice President of Marketing and Communications to Yash Raj Films, to a leading publication.

The film has been directed by Kabir Khan of Kabul Express fame and produced by Aditya Chopra. The story revolves around the aftermath of 9/11 and how the friendship between three friends played by John, Katrina and Neil Nitin Mukesh is then tested. Promising to be a thriller which keeps you on the edge of your seat, New York is slated for release this week.
