There have been rumors swirling about who the new man in Priyanka Chopra’s life is and one of the names that keeps coming up is Scottish hunkstar Gerard Butler. The two beautiful people met at the opening of the Atlantis hotel in Dubai and reportedly have stayed in touch since. In fact, the two have gotten to be such “good friends” that Gerard recently spent the day on the set of Priyanka’s new film What’s Your Rashee?.
Speaking to TOI Butler said about visiting India, “Every time I come to India, I feel that I haven’t spent enough time here. I love this country. It attracts you towards itself and you can never say no. Last year, I had come to India, and thankfully, no one got to know about it. I’d like to keep it that way this time too. I am planning to stay here till Priyanka’s done with her shoot. Then I have a few places in mind, like Rishikesh, Manali and some parts of Rajasthan, that I’d like to visit.”
He also revealed that he actually auditioned for a part in Lagaan, “I had auditioned for Lagaan, but I didn’t get the role.” Adding jokingly, “I guess they wanted to say that I was too good looking for the role. That I guess can be the only reason.”
Also visiting the set in Jaipur with Butler was Richard LaGravenese director of PS, I Love You. Both men were introduced to Ashutosh Gorwariker and got the chance to talk about Bollywood films. LaGravenese said, “I am enjoying this whole Indian movie shooting. It is an honour, and the director seems like a nice man.”
According to a source after the shoot was complete the two along with Priyanka and others from the film crew went on a sight seeing tour around the city.
Though Priyanka and Gerard maintain that they are just good friends we will have to wait and watch to see if there will be more news to come.
Gerard Butler is not dating Priyanka Chopra and he didn't go to India to see her and date her. He's there with Richard Lagravenese to find a location for a movie he will be doing with Richard and presumably Tom Cruise will be starring in it. Gerard Butler is definitely playing the field these days with proof of videoclips and pictures. There was the recent partying with 20-year old Norwegian model at Cipriani. Recently he was making out in full view of Hugh of Philly Chat with 2 women there. I doubt Priyanka, if she was his girlfriend would be happy about that that he has the time to flirt and canoodle with other women (she has to know as those encounters were reported on the Internet both with video and picture proofs) and not come and see her. The only reason they have of seeing each other in India is to get her to sign on for the movie Richard Lagravanese is directing. Plus Priyanka doesn't need to stay at any hotel: she has an apartment near where she is filming. If Priyanka was the love of his life, he would make more of an effort to take some time off his work and go and see her. As it is I think the rumors of their hookup is all a ploy by her P.R. or herself to be more famous. There are other younger more beautiful beauty queen out there that Gerry can go after if he wants one and he doesn't need an older one who still poses with her crown 9 years after winning. She's pathetic.
