Both Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone wowed the audience at the New York premiere of Chandni Chowk to China. Deepika looked stunning in a silver satin sequined gown with fishtail and a mandarin-style collar - with a most elegant lime-green dupatta sash. Akshay was accompanied by his wife Twinkle Khanna.

This is just the first of a series of premieres for the movie which take in Toronto, London, Dubai, Bangkok, Delhi and Mumbai. The previous night, the movie had premiered in Hollywood at the Steven J Ross Theatre in Burbank. The movie was attended by executives from Warner Bros who have financed the movie and also by movie director McG, who had directed Charlie's Angels. It's said that Deepika's character Meow Meow was inspired by Lucy Liu's character in that movie.

Deepika's next major role is opposite Saif Ali Khan in his home production, directed by Imtiaz Ali. She will also make a guest appearance in SRK's Billu Barber and is considering a role opposite Farhan Akhtar in Karthik Calling Karthik.
