Bollywood has had some ups and downs so far this year at the ticket counter. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Rock On!! rocked the box-office and Singh is Kinng was Kingg, while others sank without much notice. With just 4 months left until 2009 there are still some highly anticipated films getting ready to try their hand at audience supremacy. We thought we give you a preview of some of the exciting films still to come in 2008.



The Last Lear (release date: September 12th) - Rituparno Ghosh, maker of films such as Choker Bali and Raincoat, brings us yet another art film in the form of The Last Lear. The film boasts an all-star cast featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal, and Shefali Shah. The interesting thing about this film is that it is an English language film. Although the film has been a bit under the radar of late, it did garner a great response when it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. Those who have seen it say it is Amitabh Bachchan’s career best performance. With a fine cast and director, this one shall be worth the price of admission.
