Looking stunning in a strapless, plunging lime-green party piece, fast-rising actress Sonam Kapoor graces the cover of Elle magazine this month.

Her father, 'Mr India' Anil Kapoor, must be very proud of his daughter who is an Economics graduate from the University of Mumbai. She made her debut in the best-forgotten Saarawiya last year which starred Ranbir Kapoor. Early next year, she will be seen in Dilli 6. The film will star Abhishek Bachchan.

Sonam is very realistic about the advantages thet being the daughter of the great Anil Kapoor has given her. "If I were not the daughter of Anil Kapoor, I would not have got this opportunity. It would have been very difficult," she says.

And what roles is she looking for in the future? "My family leave the decision of choosing roles to me," she explains, "I would never stoop to the level of vulgarity. My parents trust me and they feel that I have good judgment. I would like to do both different films and typical glamorous roles."
