Recently, there has been several rumours spreading about stunner Bipasha Basu venturing into Hollywood. She admits that she has looked into a few projects there as well as received offers, but has no interest in doing a Hollywood flick. The prime reason for this is that she does not want to start all over in Hollywood when she has already created a career in Mumbai.
She says, "No filmmakers of Hollywood are willing to sign any Bollywood actor without a screen test apart from Aishwarya...I got a chance to go there, but I found out that I will have start again from scratch like screen tests and other tantrums. They treat you like a newcomer. So I decided to stay in Mumbai and be the 'queen' here." Well, not sure about 'queen', but she certainly has an admirable fan following!
For months there have been rumours of Indian actresses spreading their wings into Hollywood (Shilpa Shetty, Celina Jaitley, Kareena Kapoor, etc.), bagging top roles and doing great things. However, as much as people like to pan her, the fact of the matter is that Aishwarya has definitely made the greatest impact in Hollywood even though she may not have done the greatest films. Also, Tabu received great praise for her role in Mira Nair's The Namesake.
On the other hand, for Bipasha, it seems like there's nothing like 'home sweet home'!
It is very brave of Bipasha to stand up in an egoistic industry that just does not want to accept the truth.
Aishwarya is and is the only Indian Actor known in Hollywood and Big Banners are just waiting to grab her dates. But all we have in Indian Film Industry is that they can not see anyone scale some good heights, and hence just want to negate their achievements as just hype or plain luck.. but definitely not hard work.
Infact Preity had also commented on the same once when she was in Cannes, that the only Indian Actor Western Media and Audience knows is Aishwarya and only Aishwarya.

I am happy to see this good change.
