Akshay Kumar’s thirst for thrill injured him whilst 75ft deep in water, shooting for his upcoming action, adventure movie alongside Sanjay Dutt and Lara Dutta in the Bahamas. The shot required Akshay to be underwater surrounded by 35 sharks.

It has been said that Akshay is a certified deep sea diver, but the stunt went wrong when Akshay hit his head against the shipwreck and started bleeding. "We were worried about him fainting and needing immediate medical attention because the metal was rusted, but our main concerns were the sharks, since they get attracted to the smell of blood."

The crew knew it would have been difficult to get Akshay out of the water straight away so they left everything to tend to his wound. At the same time shark trainers attempted to cage the sharks and send them in the opposite direction.

A source then added that, "Akshay being the daredevil that he is, tried to brush it off as a minor mishap, but the entire unit was left shaken considering it was a very close call. In fact, he even joked about it to all of us, to break the seriousness on the sets."
