One of the biggest stars in Bollywood, Rani Mukerji, is becoming more selective in her roles and how she spends her time. With only three releases last year and just one this year she is only doing characters that she feels good about and ones she has not been seen in before. In her free time she likes to be at home with her family and says contrary to reports she is not becoming a recluse.

Rani said, "I am perceived to be as a recluse which I am not. I am a family oriented person and I like to spent time with my family when I am not working. Just because I keep to myself after shooting and not seen at places where the media normally goes, one can't have such preconceived notions. I like playing with my two-year-old niece Myesha when I am free."

About her time in front of the camera Rani said that she has been offered many roles, including some opposite Akshay Kumar, but since she did not like the character she had to say no. "The kind of roles that I am being offered are not the ones that excite me anymore. It's not that I am being price. Some of the films may even go on to become huge hits, but its just not the way I would like to see myself on screen." Adding, " I am still waiting for a good offer opposite Akshay."

She went on to explain, "I want to essay characters which I have not done before. My fans have given me so much love and respect that I want to make them happy about my performances."

"Last year, I did three films, Saawariya, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Tara Rum Pum Pum because I liked all three roles. But this year, I have just one release, Kunal Kohli's Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, because it was the only film, I felt, that had a good script," she said.

In Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic Rani plays an angel who does not know how to love and is there to help Saif Ali Khan's character and four orphans he has taken in. For her role she had to do a lot of stunts including flying on a wire: "I came close to being like Hrithik in Krissh. It was physically tough. The easiest part was that I was smiling throughout the film."

"It is also perhaps for the first time that I have not used glycerine as I don't have to cry in any frame of the film," she added smiling.

Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic opens June 27th.
