Guys I really love music from anywhere in the world Ive found heaps of artists that I love from other country's but as you know I can not know everyone so please share artists, music from where you are from!! Cheers :double-thumbup: :clap2:

Im from New-Zealand and I like alot of the singer songwriters we got here, one I really respect and listen to is Brooke Fraser ill go look for some links for you guys to check out!

I personally don't like dutch music very much... but I do think some of them are pretty funny:P
for example:
we have marco borsato, probably the most famous dutch performer, than DJ's like tiesto and DJ Armen van Buren. But I think Ali B and Yes-R are the most funny of all....

the turksih ones rule!! I like that music.. and I ain't that fond of marco myself... seriously it is a pitty u don't understand dutch! Ali babba the song is sooo funny.!! If i have time I'll translate it!! I'll see if I can find more Dutch stuff:)

You love them since they're from Singapore? Hehe. There is wide market for malay artistes over here so actors like Aaron Aziz and Hady Putra ventures into Malay and act in Malay dramas! I'm so proud they're doing well! ;)

Well, the music industry from Singapore has been soaring and I'm just being proud of them... And Shallu, how do you know Aaron and Hady? Yeah, seeing that they ventured out and being in the big industry is just great.

i esp love her dangdut music and traditional malay stuff even more than her pop cuz it's SO amazing....and she REALLY has the voice for it!! :crazy:

like stuff like Cindai (my FAVE album of hers til date) and Seri Balas, her collaboration with Noraniza Idris...OMG i'm in LOVE with those albums

i also love Amy Mastura of the 'sort of old days' like 90's :giggle2: and OMG do u remember 'O Di Antara Cinta' and 'Kasih'???!!!!

^^ i fell in love with those 2 songs when i was like best friends with this malaysian/bruneian girl named ardina...n i was friends w/their entire family too LOL

n so they would always put on malay CD's and VCD's like karaoke LOL cuz they knew i loved it ehhehehe...n they would have parties on the weekends n always invite me and i totally had a blast

n Sheila Majid...she's GREAT too....OMG i love this topic...i've always wanted a place where i could go CRAZY about malay/sinagporean music!! :yahoo: :spin: this is like 1 of my fave things in the world (malay culture n music) singapore, indonesia, etc..

n OMG u mentioned Waheeda!!!! i LOVEEE herrrrrr!!!!! her songs are GREAT!!!! i have to find a few on my comp somewhere so i can say which are my faves, cuz there are a few of hers that i really like

n OMG- MiSHA OMAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is SOOO GOOD!! but i think Siti Nurhaliza is the BEST BEST BEST!!! :yahoo: :love3:

n there's this other lady with an AMAZiNG voice- Aishah... i think she just went by her first name....i am looking for her songs all the time but can't find them :cry: but my friend's family loved her, esp their dad LOL...n she really has this amazing voice

n ppl like Nora, her album 'Naluri'- that's 1 of my FAVORiTES!!!! n that song 'Hadirlah Kekasih'!!! :faint: that song is so special 2 me...for so many reasons... i always just refer to the whole thing as 'Naluri Nora'

i also love 'oldies' like Fauzia Latiff, Ning Baizura, Erra Fazirra, Ziana Zain n her brother Anuar, and also Amelina- she's 1 of my favorites!!!

songs like 'Sansuria Khatulistiwa' and 'Bulan Cinta'- those songs are sooo great!!! :clap: oh and i love Ella as well- her music is so much fun ^-^

n this sort of newcomer, Siti Sarah, did she ever gain popularity eventually? cuz i remember hearing her voice n didn't think it was that amazing...but again it's hard 4 me to follow up on malay singers but i wish i had like a malaysian or singaporean channel here, that would be so cool

YUP it was Wassini!!! (by Waheeda)...NOW i remember, that was the first ever song of hers i heard...it's soo amazing...1 thing i always remember is how she had this powerful deep voice....n her style is neat....reminds me of shakira...she's 1 of my faves...very talented

here's 1 of my FAVE alltime songs, 'Lagu Rindu' by Siti Nurhaliza! it's such a powerful amazing song...normally i listen to it on CD/ipod so it's even better when u can picturise stuff w/out the visuals...cuz the song is just very powerful...the video doesn't do it justice but it's still really cute....this is how typical malay karaoke videos go (4 ppl that don't know) but they're so cute neways...i could watch them for hours just like i do bollywood :P so yea here's 'lagu rindu'- i promise it's AMAZiNG :wub:

Hahaha.. Finooo... Just saw this topic today. It's been sooo long since I last listened to the local Malay radio station. But the songs that u recommended, are all fantastic. Personally, I'm proud of Ahli Fiqir & Hady.
But I still prefer Taufik though :P

And HAPPY 43RD BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!! I LOVE UUUU!!!!! :D
