I dont think that was a cheap comedy atall. she really looks size Zero these days. so nothing cheap there in my view. calling her size zero is same like calling her skinny.
if u think that cheap then fine thats ur opinion & how u feel. cant do anything about it sorry :)

Found this quote while searching for news on PC (related link):
http://www.ptinews.c...-Kareena-Kapoor
I feel extremely sad for the young girls who actually look up to her as a role model. I am simply disgusted by the above statements. Clearly, she knows nothing about what "size zero" really is, and her gibberish actually has the power to cause serious repercussions.
Her huge fan once told me, "No, she has changed. Please go back and read her interviews." Sorry, but she hasn't changed one bit. Some people just never change.
I no longer find myself even lukewarm towards her anymore. I am heavily disappointed by such ignorant comments like the one above, and her list of these comments never stop to grow!

^Woah!
She actually said that?! Does she think before speaking...like hello!
Being proud bc your name is associated with size zero...SICK!
That shouldn't be something to be proud of...what kind of message are you sending out to your fans?
Such comment coming from a celebrity with her status is very disappointing...really disappointing.

Why are you calling people who are size zero sick? How can you justify yourself as noble while calling other people sick?
I'm not supporting what Kareena said in the article.
But, it really gets on my nerves how size zero is portrayed and dealt with in the society, like it's some sort of disease. Some people who have size are actually healthy, it does not mean that they are anorexic or bulimic. I have read multiple comments around this forum saying how disgusting stick-thin bodies are. I'm sorry, but no one has a right to criticize anyone else. If being fat is not disgusting, why is being skinny taken as something sick? Don't judge others because of their body size or weight, because that's truly sick.
Hell, I'm size zero and proud -_- Watever to you guys.

Power to you Darky :)
Kareena's obviously not a size zero and she made a really silly statement, but its silly coz she made her own definition of size zero, lol.
That to her it means being slim. She's already denied being size zero countless times. But it kinda limits her options when she's signed on by SONY to endorse their new SIZE ZERO laptop. She kinda played it smart by mixing in her own perception of size zero, lol

See, my problem is the way she is using the term "size zero" like it's so unloaded. She needs to think before she speaks, because YES, she does have a fan population who happen to be young girls. Of course everyone will have a different opinion about what "size zero" truly is, but the media has already concreted an image into our heads. The term "size zero" has a negative connotation anyway, which is partly why I do not prefer its use. I don't know how many of you guys have actually done research on eating disorders, but you will be shocked to know what the correlation is between the media's perception of a size-zero individual and a young pre-teen's as well. It is also wrong to view "size zero" as something that is the most atrocious thing in the world. It is a very serious topic as disorders, like bulimia and anorexia, can stem from it. After doing a bit of research regarding eating disorders, "size zero" is definitely a phrase that will come up within a text, so I just think that people should be careful with the use of the term; that's all. Kareena's just flaunting it in the air like it means nothing! Also, pre-teens are driven by the media in many ways. If you think about it, the pre-teen/teenager population is quite the easy target. If the media praises a certain actress for their body, then someone who finds out about it, or who admires that celebrity, would definitely be somewhat impacted. Perhaps I am contradicting myself here, but I just don't approve of using that term like it holds no capability of creating emotional and physical disrupt.

Yes she should be careful with her language, but she also clearly made her very silly weird stance clear that she just means to be slim. No it doesnt make sense, but atleast she said it. And anyone can see kareean is a VERY healthy size. So if she starts to equate THAT size to size zero, and hopefully no one photoshops her being too thin, then its ok. But she needs to be very careful because a lot of young girls do follow her.
