Woman blocked from selling Farrell sex tape

LOS ANGELES - A temporary restraining order was issued Tuesday against a woman who is allegedly trying to distribute a sex tape involving her and actor Colin Farrell.
Superior Court Judge David Yaffe blocked Nicole Narain from selling, distributing or displaying the 15-minute tape that shows her and Farrell having sex. The next court hearing was scheduled for Aug. 10.
Farrell, 29, sued Narain on Monday, accusing her of trying to distribute the tape through an intermediary.
The lawsuit also accused the 31-year-old woman of working with the owner of an Internet pornography business and contacting the news media about the tape.
Farrell claims the videotape was supposed to be jointly owned by him and Narain, and that they had a verbal agreement it would remain private.
The lawsuit also said the release of the tape would irreparably harm Farrell’s reputation and career.
Narain could not be reached for comment. A phone message left for her attorney was not immediately returned.

Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba is reportedly a bag of nerves and compulsions.
The 24-year-old admits she's battling an eating disorder and has struggled with obsessive compulsive behaviour, anxiety attacks and insomnia.
According to The Sun she was at school when she first started suffering but stopped eating after filming Dark Angel three years ago, exercising instead for three hours a day.
"A lot of girls have eating disorders and I did too. I became obsessed with it."
She said she got help for the eating problem when her weight dived below 44 kilos.
And she says she reckons her looks are off too.
"I never see myself as a beautiful woman and have never traded on that to get ahead in this business," she said.
Meanwhile contactmusic.com reports her slamming the film industry for only casting stereotypically beautiful women and allowing the majority of films to be directed by men.
"There are a few exceptions but for the most part there are not many women making movies," she said.
"There are not many female writers or directors either, and if you split it in half, 50 per cent of the movies are not being headlined by women."

The actor, 32, is furious Sadie has a confidentiality deal with Daisy Wright that did not cover him.
And he angrily confronted his ex at her home, claiming it allowed the nanny to tell how he romped with her behind fiancee Sienna Miller's back.
A source close to the couple said: "He was very angry and let Sadie know.
He said she should have discussed the deal with him and his advisors to make sure everything was all right. He can't believe this was allowed to happen and has been asking his advisors what happened"
"But he seems to have overlooked the fact it was he who had the affair with Daisy at the end of the day." High- profile couples such as the Beckhams routinely ask employees to sign gagging orders to stop embarrassing newspaper revelations.
But since Jude and Sadie - who have three children together - split two years ago, their legal affairs have been handled separately.
Sadie, 38, who lives in Belsize Park, North London, hired Daisy and made her agree to keep mum.
The source added: "Jude's not covered by the arrangement. He needed to get his own but for whatever reason didn't. Now he's spitting feathers. He's always told Sadie her staff are scatty and unreliable - and now he feels he's been left looking stupid."
However, the Alfie star believes his ex-wife could have been more helpful.
A close friend said: "He's not happy she didn't talk to him about the deal. Some paperwork relating to Daisy's employment has also apparently gone missing. He feels let down."
The lapse means he will find it hard to take legal action against Daisy, 26, whom he began bedding while filming in New Orleans in March.
Sienna, 23, refuses to forgive him and was last week seen canoodling with old flame Orlando Bloom at a polo event.

NEW YORK - Dana Reeve, who spent nine years caring for her paralyzed husband, Christopher Reeve, until his death last year, announced Tuesday that she has lung cancer.
Reeve, 44, said she decided to disclose her illness following rumors about her health in the media.
"I have recently been diagnosed with lung cancer, and am currently undergoing treatment," Reeve said in a statement. "I have an excellent team of physicians, and we are optimistic about my prognosis."
"Now, more than ever, I feel Chris with me as I face this challenge," Reeve said. "As always, I look to him as the ultimate example of defying the odds with strength, courage and hope in the face of life's adversities."
Christopher Reeve, the onetime Hollywood "Superman" turned activist for spinal cord research after a horse-riding accident, died Oct. 10, 2004.
Dana Reeve, an actress, was a constant companion and supporter of her husband during his long ordeal and his work for a cure for spinal cord injuries.
She is chairwoman of the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, which funds research on paralysis and works to improve the life of the disabled. To date, it has awarded $55 million in research grants and $7.5 million in quality of life grants.
She was performing in the Broadway-bound play "Brooklyn Boy" in California when she had to streak home to reach her husband's bedside before he died. She gave up the role for the New York run.
Their son, Will, is 13 years old.

ET has learned that BRAD PITT has filed paperwork seeking to be the adoptive father of ANGELINA JOLIE's already adopted children, four-year-old MADDOX and baby ZAHARA.
According to Brad's publicist, the star filed a legal petition in Los Angeles on Friday seeking to change the names of the children to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt.
"We are confirming that Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children," the publicist said in a statement. "No further comment is being made."
The news comes just days after Brad and Angelina, who were romantically linked after co-starring in the summer blockbuster 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith,' made a public appearance together in Tokyo to promote their movie. Their first public appearance together was in mid-November at The Muhammad Ali Center's Grand Opening Gala in Louisville, KY.
The two were also in Pakistan on Thanksgiving Day, as Angelina continued her work as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. She and Brad took part in private briefings at the U.N. High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva before touring a ravaged town, a tent city for homeless survivors and a high mountain valley that was hit by the Oct. 8 quake, which killed an estimated 86,000 people and destroyed millions of homes.

The news of the "Alias" star's pregnancy broke in May, but even then, she tried to keep the sex of her unborn child a secret. However, during a visit to "The Tonight Show Starring JAY LENO" on Tuesday, September 27, she inadvertently referred to the baby as "she."
Jennifer became pregnant before she and Ben were wed, but the couple rectified that, saying their "I Dos" on June 29 in a private, sunset ceremony on Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean. Jennifer's "Alias" dad VICTOR GARBER officiated.
Earlier this year, the new mom told InStyle magazine, "Clearly I'm in the middle of a life shift. I don't know what things are going to be like, so, of course, I have moments of apprehension and in-over-my-head-ness. I think I'd be a fool not to."
Her pregnancy was written into the "Alias" storyline, so that both she and Sydney Bristow, her character, were pregnant at the same time. "Alias" is in its final season on ABC.

Lance Bass, the former 'N Sync heartthrob, reveals that he is gay in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.
"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything," says Bass, referring to bandmates Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake.
"I didn’t know: Could that be the end of ’N Sync? So I had that weight on me of like, ‘Wow, if I ever let anyone know, it's bad.' So I just never did," he says speaking about his sexual orientation for the first time with PEOPLE.
Now, after years of keeping his personal life private, the Mississippi-bred, Southern Baptist-reared Bass, 27, is publicly revealing what he first shared with his friends, then his shocked family.
"He took years to really think about how he was going to tell everyone," says his close buddy Fatone, 29, who was the first 'N Sync bandmate to find out Bass is gay. "I back him up 100 percent." Adds Bass’s longtime pal, actress Christina Applegate: "I've always accepted him as who he is. It's about his own serenity at this point."
Having pursued acting, producing and – most memorably – space flight after ’N Sync went on hiatus in 2002, Bass now is looking ahead to new beginnings. He is in a "very stable" relationship with model-actor-Amazing Race winner Reichen Lehmkuhl, 32, and is developing an Odd Couple-inspired sitcom pilot with Fatone in which his character will be gay.
Mostly, though, he’s just enjoying the relief that comes with the culmination of a long, at times emotionally fraught journey.
"The thing is, I’m not ashamed – that’s the one thing I want to say," he explains of his decision to come out. "I don't think it's wrong, I'm not devastated going through this. I'm more liberated and happy than I’ve been my whole life. I'm just happy."
As for why he's talking about this now, Bass says, "The main reason I wanted to speak my mind was that (the rumors) really were starting to affect my daily life. Now it feels like it's on my terms. I'm at peace with my family, my friends, myself and God so there's really nothing else that I worry about."
