i'd have to disagree on that.
u do always have the token sikh/muslim friend.
of late u do have films focusing on muslim protagonists in films such as Dhokha, Chak De India and the one with Rajeev Khandewal (forgot his name), Kurbaan, mission kashmir, fiza. Plus more where I can think of characters but not names LOL
Of course, it's not a MAJOR quantity ..I agree with u guys about that. But if u note that 99% of hindi cinema is Rahul-Anjali cinema..not going to have Mohammed - Aisha cinema anytime soon.
Plus, this may also be a factor as to why we don't tend to have sikh/muslim protagonists: these groups are pretty sensitive and protest a lot. They really care about the image their characters portray, etc. Hindu's on the other hand, don't care lol...put girls in bikinis and have them dance to our "hare ram" no one cares. cant put girls in bikinis and have them dance to some religious muslim/sikh song.
anyways thats just my theory. but u guys are right minorities are not represented in main cinema so much, but i do think the so called art films focus on this.
i do disagree that the bad guys are always muslim. some do have to do with terrorism, but they never show these characters as ruthless terrorists -- of the ones i think of, they always show the hindu ppl as the bad guy -- stuff that has forced these ppl to retialiate sort of theme.
anyways just my opinion.

Not necessarily. I do remember a Hindu group freaking out over the Bhool Bhulaiya title song when it first came out. And for the same reasons you mentioned as well.

hmm really? but song never got taken out tho. that's my point. take examples of Sikhs who get offended they have the whole thing changed.
Or when Muslims had an issue with the Marjani song...or the song from Meenaxi -- they had the lyrics taken out.
