Shah Rukh Khan without any doubt :D
That man's got everything what it needs to be a superstar :D
He's the no.1 actor...he's got a fan following huger than the Tsunami....he's got innumerable friends in the industry....he's got all the talent....he's got those looks....at the age of 43 he can still make a girls dil go dhak dhak :wub: and morever he's got the POWER....

When biggest of the others are unable to do a thing and you do it with ease...That's called power!!
Just like even the likes of Saif Ali Khan OR Kareena Kapoor OR Ranbir Kapoor OR Akshay Kumar OR Rani Mukerji couldn't even give a hit to YRF....Srk signed...shot...Promoted and gace YRF a BLOCKBUSTER!!!!
Now that;'s called REAL POWER :)

Let's not forget that before DDLJ, Shahrukh didn't have much box office power either. I think that he and YRF were lucky for each other.

As for the topic on hand... I don't agree with any of the options. I think the industry is currently building itself again.

No one can be a born superstar..Even the likes of Amitabh Bahchchan wasn't nothing until n unless he got Zanjeer....
Lets not forget that either that YRF are HIGHLY dependant on SRK as of now...

If we are talking no1 ACTOR/MALE FIGURE within the realm of the Hindi Movie Industry then it's Aamir. Reasons are his movies haven't flopped since 2001 (Mangal Pandey was wrongly reported as a flop actually it wasn't as per Taran Adarsh and other), his production house has 100% track record, his directorial debut took him to new heights, he is rocking the endorsement scene with a renewing contract of Coke , and of course Ghajini.

But if it is an overall power or influence of a Hindi movie actor we consider then its Shahrukh. With a few exception like Chak De, Swades he has successfully branded his 'Raj, Rahul type' roles into world phenomenon. Everyone from Europeans to Middle Easterners connect with him because of those movies. He is probably the biggest investor among actors with properties in Dubai Real Estate, IPL, Television shows etc If he has sort of failed in investment its ironically in movie production. OSO may have earned him millions but that's the only one from his production house. The other movies he produced(Asoka, Paheli, Billu) were hardly anything to his empire.

Aamir - coz he hardlt does films like 1 a year, but wen he does he makes the bigggest impact ever n jus steals the whole year from everyone, everytin he touches turns to gold esp in past 2 years!
