Sources say that Rihanna’s accusation led to a heated argument, after which Brown punched her on the face. The duo was in Brown’s Lamborghini sports car when the horrific incident took place around 12:30 am at LA Hancock park area.

Rihanna, who was left with a bruised face, split lip and bite marks on her body, was rushed to hospital after dialing 911 from the hired car. Brown, however, fled to a hotel before surrendering to cops.

“Rihanna was distraught, she had bruises on her face, a bloody nose and sore lip. She was interviewed by police at the hospital before being released a few hours later,” Fox News quoted a source as saying.

Brown, who is being investigated for alleged “domestic violence and felony battery”, was charged with suspicion of making criminal threats and was later released on 50,000 dollars bail.

If found guilty, Brown could face a nine-year jail term. Meanwhile, a source has revealed that Rihanna is short-tempered and easily gets into arguments. “She’s got a temper, and she can get right in your face,” the source said.

The rumors all are true. The stories are all on people.com. Chris really did hit Rihanna. She suffered from a black eye, slit lip, and bruises all over the sides of her face. She had to go to the hospital and be checked by a doctor!

I have lost all respect for that ***hole!

Firstly, no, I am not a die hard fan of his, but I do love his music.

I'm quite pissed off right now and not to add disappointed as well. I can't believe how the media can influence people's opinions of celebrities so easily. First of all there is NO EVIDENCE so far which proves Chris Brown hit Rihanna or anyone else. All these People magazine sources you are mentioning just keep referring to "sources" who have told them this and that. Who are these sources? Every article I have read thus far keeps pointing to a "source" which they have supposedly got new/shocking details from. The People magazine even mentions a police source, again no name or identification, just the word "source" with the word "police" attached to it, and oh that's credibility now. If any of this is actually true, as the magazine--and just about all the other articles I've read so far on this case--claims then this is a domestic violence case and it is actually unlawful to reveal any details about it. It is very confidential, and for a police officer to reveal information about the case seems unlikely. Also, the repeated information about Rihanna having injuries, where are the pictures? I'm not being cynical, really. With the kind of paparazzi we have these days, I'm surprised no pictures have leaked.

Pleaseeee people, give the guy a break. I mean what if you were in his position? Wouldn't you want to be treated like any normal citizen? He is innocent until proven guilty. Why do we start bashing him just because he is a celebrity? Yes, I know he gets a lot of benefits for being a celebrity, but all this media coverage turning people against him without proper evidence is not exactly a benefit though.

Lalita, as for the domestic violence, it actually seems improbable that he would do something like this especially if he has known his mother for going through the same thing. He says that it changed him and he wouldn't want anyone to go through what his mother had to go through as a result of domestic violence.

We always complain about the media for putting out crap and spreading rumors, which they do. They continue to do this because we believe them and they make a hell of a lot of money out of it. I wish we could be better readers/viewers and at least identify the crap from reality.

Now all of this might actually turn out to be true, but I will only believe it when I see for myself or know the information is from an identified credible source. By that I do not mean People magazine--or any other news source--but the source which they claim they got the information from.

By saying all this I am not claiming that Chris Brown is innocent, but neither am I saying that he is guilty. There just isn't enough credible information about the case at all. If he did do any of this, I will loose all respect for him and hope he gets properly punished for it.
